More MWF Factions

Factions, stables, and alliances have become prevalent in today's world of professional wrestling.  The MWF is no different as history has literally been forged by the fiery existence of strong alliances between MWF superstars.  The following list represents the most influential factions that have played a part in defining the battlelines of competition in the MWF.

The Asylum    The Crib     The Flock       Orient Express

The Flock - DISBANDED

Fiend

Carnage (w/Black Widow)

C.I.A.

DeathMask

The Flock was formed by Fiend in the summer of 1998.  After growing dissatisfied with Rugged Ralph's all-talk and no action plans for the New World Alliance, Fiend left the NWA and not desiring to embrace the MWF powers-that-be, formed his own group of federation outcasts.  Fiend brought in Carnage, a promising young lion, whose valet the Black Widow has also become a vital member of their entourage.  Together, the pair appeared following a tag-team match involving the former MWF World tag champions the Coalition and C.I.A. & Deathmask.  Fiend and Carnage violently attacked both C.I.A. & Deathmask following their tag team loss to the Coalition DDT-ing them onto steel chairs.  Amazingly, this attack served as a wake-up call of sorts to C.I.A. who accepted Fiend & Carnage's subsequent offer for Flock membership.  Deathmask took exception to the attack and faced Fiend in a 1-on-1 match and again was demolished by the former MWF World champion.  Carnage and Fiend again brutalized Deathmask after the match yet still offered him membership in the Flock.  This time, Deathmask accepted.  Finally together as a unit, the Flock feuded intensely with Brett Krueger and reigning MWF World Champion Dr. Destruction who had to scratch and claw to keep the MWF title in his possession for the remainder of 1998.

Fiend's Flock was instrumental in dethroning MWF U.S. Champion Mountain of Love in March 1999 as Fiend answered the open challenge of Mountain of Love for his MWF U.S. title in an interview with MWF President Fred Travalenee.  Fiend accepted the MOL's challenge in a no-rules match and instructed his Flock to attack Mountain.  Mountain of Love managed to fend off the rest of the Flock but was weakened leaving himself open to a Fiend attack who managed to pin him and capture the MWF U.S. title.  The reigning MWF World Champion Dr. Destruction however, belittled Fiend's victory, as he verbally offered the Mountain of Love a shot at his MWF World title later on in the event.  The Mountain of Love made the most of his opportunity and defeated Destruction for the MWF world title, but once again Fiend and Carnage made their presence known after that match as they got in the faces of Mountain once again.  But what the Flock did not realize was that Destruction had in fact formed an alliance with the Mountain of Love and they managed to escape the Flock's rage with the aid of their OTHER secret member Rugged Ralph who banded together with Destruction and Mountain to form the Hard Corps.  Thus, Fiend and Carnage became entrenched in a war against the Hard Corps in early 1999.

Meanwhile, C.I.A. and DeathMask were successful in capturing the MWF World tag titles from the Orient Express.  Unfortunately, these battles led to the demise of the Flock as C.I.A. and DeathMask lost the MWF tag titles and then began feuding themselves and Carnage attacked Fiend after Fiend did not back him up following the loss of Carnage's MWF U.S. title due to a Hard Corps attack. Thus, this ultimately led to Fiend joining his former enemies, the Hard Corps, and began a blood feud with Carnage as the Flock disbanded.

The Orient Express

Mr. Hiamoto & Professor Hishitzu

Takashi Budabay & Osaka Tamata

Father of MWF Japanese Wrestlers - Sensei Masa Sushi

FORMER

MEMBERS

Terry Aki

The Orient Express was formed in 1993 by Mr. Hiamoto and Masa Sushi (who has since retired from the MWF).  Historically, American promotions have emphasized personality over workrate, an insult to the highly trained Japanese wrestlers.  Thus the Express banded together to become a formidable force in their own right.  In 1998, the Express was further revitalized by the joining of Terry Aki and Takashi Budabay.  In 1999, Professor Hishitzu joined the group and the Express combination of Terry Aki and Takashi Budabay captured the MWF World tag team titles from the Beach Crew.  With their combination of rapid-fire tandem offense, devastating tag team finishers, and their mixing up their tag combinations among the members, the Express dominated the MWF World tag titles finally losing them to the Flock's C.I.A. & DeathMask.  But the Express regained them from the Crib's Lucius Wiggah & Blanta before the close of 1999.  The Orient Express remains a preeminent stable in the MWF to this day and likely for many years to come.

In 2000, Terry Aki broke away from the Orient Express when Aki refused to cooperate with Express members Takashi Budabay & Professor Hishitzu when beating down a helpless opponent whom they had just defeated.  Claiming that this was not the conduct of true honorable Japanese warriors, Terry Aki embraced the Express's enemies the U.S.A and began a feud with the Express.  Terry Aki defeated Express leader Mr. Hiamoto in an MWF A.I.R. title tournament match in the summer of 2000.  At MWF Wrestlemania 2000, however, Mr. Hiamoto defeated Terry Aki in a match whose stipulation was that the loser would be deported from the U.S.A. to capture the A.I.R. title and banish Terry Aki from the shores of the U.S. to return to Osaka, Japan.

The Crib

Boyz in da Hood's JIM DIRTY & 2PAC NOTSURE

Blanta & "The Luscious One" Lucius Wiggah

It was not long before street-toughs The Boyz in da Hood Jim Dirty & 2Pac Notsure squared off against another rival street gang of Blanta and Lucius Wiggah in August of 1999.  The Boyz in da Hood emerged victorious in that encounter but got such a good ol' fashioned brawl out of it, they invited Blanta & Wiggah to join them as teammates.  Thus, THE CRIB was formed.  The Crib brings the streets to the MWF as their weapons matches have become a staple of MWF action.

The Asylum

Candyman, Count Rico Malachi, & Justin Sane

The Asylum was the brainchild of the cackling macabre Candyman.  Candyman sought out other MWF personalities who in some way bordered on the outrageous and walked the fine line between sanity and insanity.  The MWF's blood-drinking vampire Count Rico Malachi and the brash anti-establishment Justin Sane soon joined the side of the Candyman as they combined their talents to cause absolute mayhem in the MWF.  With the help of the Candyman, Justin Sane managed to defeat Beach Blanket Bobby for the MWF World Television title in summer '99, but was defeated by the Majority Of Superiority's SID soon afterwards.
